Chapter 1

 Khloe Taylor

He kissed me down my neck and began sucking on my cleavage. As he kissed and sucked at my flesh, he was unbuttoning my blouse. I could feel my heart beat increasing as his hands raised my black pencil skirt above my hips. His lips were so soft against the goosebumps he had caused to raise on my skin. I could feel the pulsating between my legs and I could see the bulge that was growing between his. I wanted him. All of him. He knelt down and raised my left leg above his shoulder. He pulled my black lace panties to the side and began to feast. I trembled at the sight of him and for the life of me I couldn't seem to catch my breath. He looked up at me with a smirk of satisfaction. A few more minutes of his oral love making and he stood up and dropped his pants. He picked my legs up, kissed me deeply, and slowly slid...

"Because I'm happy! Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof! Because I'm happy! Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth!"

My alarm was blasting in my ear. I had ever been so unhappy to wake up on a Friday. Usually I'm excited for the end of my week. Not much work to do and I can usually get out of my office by 3. But today I'm pissed. That dream was so vivid and realistic waking up felt like a slap in the face. I haven't had a sexual encounter of any kind in almost a year. Not even a kiss. I'm too busy for a love life. I'm almost too busy for my friends. I forced myself out of my California king and into the bathroom. About an hour later I was out the door.

I needed to leave my office by 1 today. Today is my best friends birthday and I want to go to his job and surprise him and his students with cake and ice cream. Now if any of you were to actually meet Derek, you would be shocked to know that he's a fourth-grade teacher. You would be even more shocked to know that he's gay. He's about 6'8 and 250 pounds of walking muscle.

Don't get me wrong, he isn't a feminine gay guy. You won't catch him on the weekends dressed in drag and serving face for Gawds but he is without a doubt gay. We've been friends since I moved to Dallas almost eight years ago. I was fresh out of grad school and preparing for law school. He was bartending at a club a few blocks from the shoebox of an apartment that I was living in at the time. Eventually we became close and I motivated him to go back to school. He's the epitome of style and has shown me more love and loyalty than people I've known my whole life. Derek is amazing to say the least.

For those of you who are wondering about me, I grew up in Arkansas in a town about forty five minutes outside of Mississippi and if you go forty five minutes the other direction, you'll be in Tennessee. No, people from Arkansas do not all live on farms and marry their cousins. We aren't that different from other southern states contrary to popular belief. I graduated high school early, finished college early, grad school in two years, and law school in about four. I'm only 26 so I'll let yall determine just how quickly I did all of that. Academically, I was an overachiever. Not because I had anything to prove but simply because I wanted to get school over with. I never understood why people stayed in college five and six  years and wasted all of that damn money. My family wasn't rich so I had to grind and hurry up and get out of debt.

I sat down at my desk and kicked off my Loubotins almost immediately. When I first started this job, I was as basic as a paralegal could get. My job was basically the small things that lawyers do like paper work, typing, etc. About a year ago, my bosses Mr. Duncan and Mr. Cregan took a trip to Fiji. Mr. Duncan who was already married with three children brought his wife along but Mr. Cregan, who was your typical bachelor, went alone. As fate would have it, Mr. Cregan fell in love with a beautiful native woman and we haven't seen him since. Occasionally he sends letters and pictures but he has yet to return to U.S soil. The last time we heard from him, his wife was expecting. Mr. Duncan, who prefers that I call him Robby, was in need of a partner. With Cregan leaving like that Robby was left to run one of the biggest law firms in Dallas by himself. Surprisingly, he offered the job to me. I knew the firm like the back of my hand and I was completely qualified to do the job. Of course I pounced on the opportunity and I've been one of the hardest working women I know since.

"Good morning Khloe! You look rather...blah today." My receptionist, Kamryn, walked in my office and snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Morning Kamryn. I feel like I look then," I replied.

We continued our conversation and she ran down my schedule for the day. Luckily, that schedule was rather short. I had one new client to deal with and then my Friday was pretty much done besides some paper work I needed to handle. Then, I was off to go celebrate my best friends birthday.

"Your new client is named Shawn Dent. He's a successful entrepreneur from New York who recently moved here to expand some of his business ventures. He's looking for a business lawyer in this area to negotiate contracts and business deals considering that he only plans to stay in the area for six months. On a more personal note, Mr. Dent is a millionaire socialite and might I add that he is one beautiful specimen of a man.", Kamryn was staring off into space as if she could see his face.
"He sounds pretty popular but the name Shawn Dent doesn't ring a bell to me. I'm just interested in getting him in and out of my office as quickly as possible.", I said as I continued reading information on my MacBook. Kamryn looked at me like I was crazy. She left his information on my desk and returned to her workspace.

About a half hour later, Kamryn knocked at my door. "Ms. Taylor, Mr. Dent is here." I looked up at her and he entered my office...

Never in my life have I looked at a man and instantly visualized him naked, at least not a man that wasn't on my TV screen. Kamryn was right. This man was beyond fine. From the caramel color of his skin to his perfectly groomed facial hair, he was gorgeous. I broke myself from my thoughts and stood up to shake his hand and greet him. "Hi I'm Khloe Taylor. Nice to meet you.", I said as he gripped my hand. "Nice to meet you Ms. Taylor. I'm Shawn Dent,", he released my hand as we took our seats.

"Kamryn informed me that you're looking for a business lawyer in the Dallas area to help you run your business ventures here?", I said. "That's right. I own several clubs and restaurants all over the country and it's time for me to expand even more. Right now I only have maybe three businesses in each state. Majority of those are restaurants because night clubs and lounges don't do well everywhere.", he smiled and continued to inform me about his business. "Dallas is a growing area and for an entrepreneur such as myself, it's the ideal place to make some major business moves. That's why I need the best lawyer here to help me. Dent Industries is much more than a company. It's a brand, I'm a brand. This is why I've come to you. The buzz back home is that you're a fierce lawyer and if anyone can handle the job it's you. So, Ms. Khloe Taylor, do you think you could take Dent Industries on as a client?", he smirked in a way that was so sexy I was positive he'd never been told no before. I wanted to turn him down. I wanted to tell him no. As a general rule for myself, I DO NOT mix business with pleasure. I don't sleep with my clients and I rarely give out my personal cell phone number. I wanted to sleep with Shawn. I wanted to lock my office door, tear his clothes off, and let him have his way with me right now. So yes, I wanted to turn down a millionaire client because my grown ass can't control the feeling between my legs. I snapped myself back to reality and of course, I made an executive decision. "Well Mr. Dent you sound legit and for that, I can't turn you away. Besides, there is no one else around here that could provide you with better services than my partner and I.", I said smiling at him.

We continued discussing the logistics of our deal and scheduled another meeting to sign the final written contracts. We both stood up as he was preparing to leave. "It was a pleasure to meet you Ms. Taylor. I look forward to doing business with you.", he rubbed his thumb against my fingers as he shook my hand causing a chill to run down my spine. "Uh...umm it was nice to meet you too Mr. Dent.", I said trying not to blush. "Call me Shawn." I smiled. "Call me Khloe."

I went to the bakery a few blocks away from the school Derek taught at to pick up his birthday cake. I ordered one of the largest cakes because I wanted to feed all of his students too. I ordered the kids pizza and wings. Derek is crazy about those kids and they were helping me surprise him so I figured they deserved the treat. The principal was also helping me set the whole thing up. She was going to call Derek away so the kids and I could set up for his party. I walked into the classroom and found the kids hanging up there homemade happy birthday posters around the room. The pizza guy walked in with all of the food as I was placing the sparkler candles on the cake. A few minutes later, the door opened and we all yelled "Surprise!" The grin on his face was priceless. We sang happy birthday and he blew out his candles.

"Khloe how do you manage to be so amazing?!", Derek asked. "You know I love birthdays. Even your punk ass deserves a great birthday.", I laughed. We played kid friendly music, danced, and ate way too much junk. I really admired Derek. He loves what he does and he dedicates so much time and effort to these kids. If they need anything, school related or not, he's willing to provide it for them. Clothes, a ride to school, school supplies, anything they need. He's a giver and for that, I love him.

Derek and I were in my bathroom getting ready for our night out. Well...I was getting ready. We were going to this new club downtown called Density. "Look Khlo, you have five minutes to get your shit together or I'm leaving your high yellow ass here!", Derek said growing more impatient. "Okay okay I'm done. Look, you have a phone full of booty calls and hoes. I have nothing! If I don't find a man soon I'm going to rape YOU!", I said laughing. "As good as you look in that dress it might not have to be considered rape.", he said as I twirled around and posed in my dress.

We laughed and took selfies before taking a shot of vodka each and heading out the door. On the way to the club, I informed Derek of my encounter with Shawn Dent. "Shawn Dent? THE Shawn Dent? That man is fine! You better get him in bed before I do! I'm surprised you don't know who he is. He's in just about every magazine and on every gossip site. If he was to ever decide he wanted to dabble in my cup of tea, I'd marry him." I laughed at Derek. Clearly I was out of the loop because even after meeting the man, he still didn't look familiar. Fine he was but sleeping with him was just something I couldn't do.

Density was packed. For the special occasion, I reserved a VIP section for Derek and a few of our other friends. We drank, laughed and danced for what seemed like forever. I was teetering on the edge of drunk. As I danced I was completely in my own zone. Too many shots of Absolut will do that to you I guess. A few seconds later, I felt a body against mine and a deep voice vibrated in my ear. "You look amazing.", he said. I turned around to find Shawn Dent smirking at me.

I was shocked. "Uh..h..hi Shawn. What are you doing here?", I stuttered. I never run into my clients in environments like this. For the most part, they're all wealthy business owners or executives who are too busy working to club...or too old. He placed his hand on my side and leaned in to me. "I can't come to my own club?", he said. Of all the clubs in Dallas, it would be my luck that I end up in his. I was slightly embarassed by the drink in my hand. "I had no clue this was your spot. I'm here with a friend for his birthday.", I responded. "Boyfriend?", he asked. I shook my head no. "I know this sounds cliche in a club but I've been watching you since you got here and I was hoping I could dance with you.", he looked at me with that irresistible face and I couldn't say no. But I had to. "Shawn, you're my client and even though we aren't in the office, I can't.", I said. "I'm not asking to take you home with me or anything like that. I just wanna dance." I looked at him for a second and finally agreed. I kept trying to remind myself that it was just one dance. I could survive one dance, right? As we danced, his hands explored my waist and hips. I could feel his manhood against my backside and his breath on my neck. I wanted him so bad. In a perfect world, he could have just bent me over right there and gave me every inch but he's my client and that cannot happen. His lips slightly brushed against my skin. He smelled amazing. I turned around and faced him. The way he stared at me thickened the sexual tension between the two of us. His hands trailed down my back until he reached my ass and stopped himself. A part of me wished he hadn't have stopped. I saw Derek looking at us from across the club and I could tell he was pissy drunk. Shawn's voice interrupted my thoughts, "How about we move that contract meeting to my restaurant. We'll have lunch. On me of course." The placement of his hand on my lower back made it impossible to say no. "Sure. E-mail me the details and I'll meet you there.", I said. "No. You can give me your personal number and I'll text you the details. And I'll be picking you up from your office.", he responded. "Well damn. Someone's demanding. I guess I can allow that." We exchanged numbers and said goodbye to each other.

I walked into my apartment and laid out on my bed. I thought about my run in with Shawn and my kitty instantly started pulsating. I reached for my lipstick vibrator and headed to the shower...
